Original Logo
Redesign
The Japanese Association of Orlando, is a non profit organization created for the purpose of spreading and celebrating Japanese culture in the Orlando and Kissimmee area. They are known most for organizing the Japanese Culture Festival in the Kissimmee area.
To redesign their logo I focused the most on their festival aspect and used a red lantern which is common imagery one would see in festivals in Japan. Upon the lantern I put the characters for Japan to represent one of the most common characters seen in Japanese language and culture. And for those who can't read Japanese I put the words for the Japanese Association of Orlando next to and below the logo.
