Halo Tea is a company I came up with that mixes my love of Asian culture and sweets.
The entire idea of Halo Tea, is that it is a cafe best known for its large mix of Asian food. To represent this I chose the name Halo Tea  in which the “Halo” comes from an iconic Filipino dessert called, halo-halo which literally translates to, “mixed-mixed.” Through this name I hoped to convey that this food company makes a blend of Asian food that is so good its heavenly. And I got inspiration from Japanese culture and the Japanese flag for using the reoccurring motif of colored circles in my designs.
With my branding, I went in a cute and fun direction to represent the overall chill and fun atmosphere that I want my brand to represent. I have a reoccurring theme of circles that present the boba or tapioca pearls throughout my brand and packaging design.
For the logo, I tried to mix both Asian culture with the heavenly “halo” aspect of the company. I chose going with a design based on the Japanese Kokeshi doll, with the character for tea on it and a halo above the dolls head.
In this product there was a lot I had to prototype from the slime I made for the milk tea inside the bottles to custom making and cutting the Drink Carriers.
